Church StaffDr. Bill Noll, Senior PastorDr. Bill Noll is a life-long New Jersey resident, having served as pastor of United Methodist Churches in Belvidere, Verona, and Midland Park. Prior to his pastorates, he served as Associate Pastor in Plainfield, Youth Pastor in Denville, and on the staff of Aldersgate Center in Swartswood. An ordained elder in the Greater New Jersey Annual Conference, he is a graduate of Northwestern University (B.A.), Drew University (M. Div. and S.T.M.), the Institutes of Religion and Health (certificate in Pastor Care) and New York Theological Seminary (Doctor of Ministry). He has written or edited several books and articles in the field of Methodist history. Dr. Noll is married to the Rev. Fran Lawrie Noll, Superintendent of the Northern Shore District of the United Methodist Church. They have four children and three grandchildren. Rev. Marilyn Balzer, Christian Education DirectorMarilyn is the Associate Pastor for Christian Education and an Ordained Deacon in Full Connection, serving over 25 years. She has a Master of Arts in Christian Education from Princeton Theological Seminary, and a Bachelor of Arts in Education and French from Montclair State University. She is a United Methodist Certified Director of Christian Education, and also a State of New Jersey Certified Teacher of the Handicapped (Preschool through High School), a Nursery School teacher, Elementary School Teacher (Kindergarten through 8th Grade-all subjects), and a Secondary Teacher of French (Grades 7 through 12). Marilyn's primary appointment is as a full-time special education teacher in the Washington Township School District (Warren County). Marilyn was born and raised in Salem, NJ. She and her late husband Rich have 3 grown children and 5 grandchildren. Rev. Darleen Schott, Minister of OutreachDarleen is a retired pastor of the Greater New Jersey Conference, having served ten years as pastor in Changewater, Montana and Port Murray. Prior to her pastorates, she worked for 36 years as a public school teacher. She has earned a B.S. degree from East Stroudsburg University, an M.A. from Fairleigh Dickenson University and an M.Div. from Drew University. Darleen has three children and five grandchildren. Jessica Brendler, Youth DirectorJessica was raised in a parsonage and hopes to be the fourth generation in her family to enter the ordained ministry of the United Methodist Church. She holds a B.S. degree in biology and an M.E.D. degree in science education from Rutgers University. She is now enrolled as a student in the Theological School at Drew University. Mrs. Kathy Seeger, Administrative AssistantKathy grew up in Mountain Lake, New Jersey, and has lived in Washington the past 28 years. She has been the secretary at Washington UMC for the past 20+ years. Kathy and her husband, Charles, have one daughter, Kristi, who currently teaches fourth grade at East Orange Charter School in East Orange, New Jersey. Mr. David Dux, SextonDavid Dux serves as sexton of the United Methodist Church in Washington. He is a life-long resident of Washington, and a member of the church, serving on various committees. David's love for the church is expressed in his care of the buildings and grounds, and one always feels welcomed when met by David's warm smile and handshake. He has been employed full-time at the church for more than ten years. David, and his wife, Betty, reside in Washington Township. | |||
